Conferences & Tours:
Collaboration in health sciences has been focused primarily on Down Syndrome and Alzheimer's disease. Both problems are associated with chromosome 21. For more information click here.

The Catalan Institute of the Mediterranean is carrying out a major educational effort to acquaint the public with the religious, business, educational, cultural and immigration issues that are important to the people in the countries of the Mediterranean. For more information click here.

The Bank of America and the University of California have established the Rosenberg International Forum on Water Policy which will focus on reducing water-related conflicts while encouraging environmental protection and economic growth.  For more information click here.

A tour of the California water system was conducted as a cooperative effort between the University of California, Division of Agriculture and Natural Resources and the Department of "Medi Ambient" of the Generalitat of Catalonia. The tour highlights the similarities between Catalonia and California and California's approach to solving their problems.  For more information click here.

Catalonia established a Master's degree in city and regional planning through a cooperative agreement between the Generalitat of Catalonia, the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and the Pompeu Fabra University.  The University of California has input into this program through the Institute of Urban and Regional Development at UC Berkeley.  For more information click here
